Case Study Project Page
Azalea Counseling, LLC
Azalea Counseling, LLC is a mental health counseling practice offering therapy services to individuals, couples, and families. When they came to Ruskin Consulting, they had no web presence whatsoever. No website, no online visibility, and no system in place to manage client intake or communications. The practice was relying entirely on word of mouth and referrals, leaving significant growth on the table.
We built everything from the ground up. That meant designing and developing a full website, building out their SEO foundation, and implementing Go High Level as their client management and communication platform with full HIPAA compliance. In three months from a standing start, Azalea was generating 148 clicks and 23,000 impressions in organic search with rankings already trending in the right direction.

HIPAA Compliance Was Non-Negotiable
Mental health practices operate under strict HIPAA regulations governing how patient data is collected, stored, and communicated. Standard marketing and CRM tools are not HIPAA compliant by default, and using them incorrectly creates serious legal and ethical liability for any practice.
We configured Go High Level specifically for HIPAA compliance, including signed Business Associate Agreements (BAA), encrypted data handling, compliant intake forms, and secure email communications. Every touchpoint between Azalea Counseling and their clients was set up to meet HIPAA standards before the first lead ever came through the site.
What We Did

Azalea Counseling had nothing to start with, which actually gave us the opportunity to do things the right way from the beginning. We started with the website design and development. The site needed to feel warm, professional, and trustworthy since the audience is people actively seeking mental health support. We built it on WordPress with clear service pages for each type of therapy offered, a team page, insurance and rates information, and a streamlined booking flow to make it easy for potential clients to take the next step.
Simultaneously, we developed the SEO foundation. That meant keyword research around how people in the area actually search for therapy services: anxiety counseling, couples therapy, therapist near me, and so on. Each service page was written around those terms with proper on-page optimization including title tags, headers, meta descriptions, and structured content. Even as a brand new domain with no authority, the site started generating impressions almost immediately and has been building steadily since.
The Go High Level implementation was where we made a serious difference in how the practice actually runs day to day. We set up a full CRM pipeline to track prospects from first inquiry through booked appointment. Intake forms on the website were connected directly to GHL so new leads populate automatically. We built automated email sequences for new inquiries, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications. Everything was configured under HIPAA compliance standards with proper BAA documentation, encrypted communications, and data handling protocols that protect both the clients and the practice.
For a counseling practice, trust is everything. The combination of a professional website, growing organic search presence, and a compliant, organized back-end system gives Azalea Counseling a real infrastructure for growth rather than a patchwork of disconnected tools.
